Guestbook
Bring a little 1998 to 2008. Sign Slap Upside The Head’s brand-new-for-2008 guestbook! It will bring eternal happiness to your life, I promise.
The fine print: I do not promise that signing the guestbook will bring eternal happiness to your life. Entries are moderated for spam. And remember kids, this is a guestbook. Story ideas, opinions on recent articles, ongoing discussions, fake authors, and people who don’t mention where they’re visiting from make very silly guestbook entries.

Hello.
I think you have a great weblog. Came here trough a google search. To bad you don’t have commenting on. As a Dutch citizen I have been wondering about the stories you write. I did not know the “Free World” could be so NOT FREE. I will come and visit again, and will link you on my weblog.
Take care and continue writing.

Hi there Mark,
Just wanted to post a thanks for this week’s guest slap. As someone who’s just starting their teaching career, this question does resonate in my mind often (and is more complicated because I’m bi). It’s good to know that there are other teachers like me out there, who want to be professional but also human in their lives and reflect on how to best balance that. And it’s nice to hear that they’re science teachers too ;)
Cheers!

This is fantastic. It deals with the oppression of our people, while still allowing us to laugh at ourselves and some of the ridiculousness of today’s [and yesterday's, for that matter] society.
Thank you for what you do. It’s great.
Peace,
LEAH

I heart. Your blog. SO HARD. I stumbled across it a few years ago, and much to my sadness lost track of the URL, so I am thrilled to bits to have discovered it again! EEEEE! <– the cry of Raoul, the Big Gay Supernatural Dragon

I like your blog. The layout is fun, and it works well with the content, the comics … a pretty combo.
And reading through a few of your posts I start to wonder, why people must always fight for their own beliefs. Why can’t the accept that people are different.
I notice that a lot with friends, family, or just anyone I meet. Not a lot of people have the “power” to differentiate between something they know, do, and approve of, and something that they don’t know and don’t do, but reserve judgement and just let the “others” me “others”. Instead of just accepting difference they resent anything that is beyond their horizon.
I am not gay, I can’t immagine being gay, but I know what it is like to be in love. Why should anyone be ashamed to be in love? Why should anyone not be allowed to swear everlasting love, i.e. marrying someone.
Anyhow … hello from a fellow canadian in “exile” (Europe), keep it up. Keep pointing out all those that need to be SLAPPED UPSIDE THE HEAD !!!

I came across your website after typing “homosexual” on google images… Yes, I was bored and didn’t have much to do - let’s assume it was raining outside. Anyhow, it was a great surprise to find your creations. I love your drawings and I love your writing. Keep on the good work!

I just found your site by accident. Your cartoons are very funny! I may not be gay but, I understand a bit of your frustrations. I’m not even sure why gay-marriage/adoption/clubs, etc are even up for debate, I really can’t think of anyone they hurt.
With our medical system slowly going in the crapper and becoming more American, high oil prices, schools failing, homelessness and political scandals I can only see homosexuals being used as victim in the ever-repeating scape goat mechanism. The world is a step short of throwing you poor bastards into volcanoes.
It’s going to be a long time before humanity as a whole figures out that excluding and destroying people doesn’t really bring peace and happiness to a society. But for as long as Canada exists, I hope we continue to grow as a nation who can tolerate trivial things like sexual preference. Because I really don’t see how that’s a hard thing for some people to get over.
Best of luck to you!
Ann
